Benefiting the Chris Blankenship Family

(local firefighter that lost his life in the line of duty)

Every year, nearly 420,000 first responders are injured in the line of duty. Families of the fallen heroes suffer severe financial constraints when their loved one is no longer able to provide for their family. Through the Local First Responders Fund, a charitable account established by the West Tennessee Healthcare Foundation and funded by local area businesses, we are able to provide support to the families of fallen heroes when they need it the most. Your contribution will help us continue to provide support to the families of our local first responders in their time of need.

This year we are donating the proceeds to the Chris Blankenship Family.

Chris passed away on May 3, 2015 in Jackson, TN in line of duty.

He was born on March 22, 1974 in Jackson, TN, the son of Mike and Teresa Blankenship.

Chris was a loving father, husband, and son and a Volunteer Firefighter. He died doing what he loved to do.

He was a member of Meridian Baptist Church and a member of the Madison County Fire Department for ten years.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Royal and Dorothy Blankenship; his maternal grandfather, James Adkins.

He is survived by his wife, Ashley Chism Blankenship; his daughter, Bailey Elizabeth Blankenship; his son, Michael Chase Blankenship; his parents, Mike and Teresa Blankenship; his mother and father-in-law, Don and Sherry Chism; his brother-in-law, Chris Chism; his grandmother, Marie Adkins.
